Obituary: 
Mr. Horace Henson, Jr., age 84 of Griffin, passed away on Tuesday,
January 24, 2012 at Spalding Regional Medical Center. Mr. Henson 
was born in Griffin, Georgia on July 3, 1927 to the late Horace 
Henson, Sr. and the late Emma Teal Henson. He was preceded in death 
by wife, Blanche Conner Henson; brother, Jerry Henson. Mr. Henson 
was a Veteran of The United States Navy, having served in World War II.
He was a fireman with 28 years of service for the Griffin Fire Department 
and a member of Highland Methodist Church. Survivors include daughter 
and son-in-law, Janie and Rickey Storey of Griffin; sisters, Jeanette 
Landers of Griffin, Juanita Pelt of Augusta; sister-in-law, Helen Henson 
of Marietta; several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mr. Horace Henson, Jr. 
will be on Friday, January 27, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at 
Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be 
conducted on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery, 
Section H-1. Reverend Herb Flanders will officiate. Family and friends 
are asked to assemble at the grave site.
